Sometimes they just die

Baker

5 year old buck +
I think this buck is 9 though he may be 10. Blind in one eye so pretty easy keep up with. Filmed him in August in velvet. Stunning . Was hunted all season though never seen. Had been dead about 4-5 days when found. A bit over 202"

I have some pretty good hunting Baker... but I'm envious of 3 things; the class of bucks you get to hunt, the amount of time you get to hunt, and the financial ability make the changes you dream of. Congrats to you, it's pretty amazing what your doing!

I'd be thrilled just to get him that way.

In my lifetime, I've found one shed antler and you could barely tell it was an antler. I've never found a buck skull that had anything but little nubs left on the skull from being chewed. So statistically speaking, I'd be less likely to find that buck than I would be to shoot it. ;)

Chased this buck for a buddy of mine couple weeks ago with no luck. We saw him everyday but never could get on him. He had to leave empty handed. I think the buck to be quite old--8-10? Cowboys found him dead about a week ago.No idea what from? Sometimes they just die! He's bigger than I judged him on the hoof scoring about 185" . Glad we found him.

Those two would hurt....

wow, the mass on both are about as good as I've ever seen, and wicked looking tines. Cat said it perfectly, and I'm just as envious, but congrats! it's obvious you're doing something special. Do you all autopsy to try and figure out if anything nefarious happened?
