Soil Sample?

If the soil sample analysis recommends zero potash is there any harm adding it to the plot anyway since most common fertilizers have it in the mix? Like triple 13 or triple 10. Thanks

Should be no harm, maybe to your wallet wasting some money!

No harm but it is easier on your wallet to find a place that sells high percentage fertilizer. Fertilizer is mostly filler. If you pay $15 for a 50 lb bag of 10-10-10 you are getting 5 lb N, 5 lb P and 5 lb K and 35 lb of filler in each bag. 46-0-0 on the other hand will have 23 lb of nitrogen in each bag and normally cost the same as a bag of 10-10-10. 18-46-0 will have 9 N and 23 p and do what you need with no K. Not sure if you can get your hands on higher percentages but remember fertilizer is mostly filler.

Thanks for the replies.

potash is actually good to add. as it helps plants with fighting diseases

I might also consider another soil sample. If any fertilizers were put down the last two years and not mixed into the soil, or animal waste on the soil spot weeks before the sample was taken from ... the potash reading might be off a bit. Potassium is the slowest to migrate down into the soil.
