Silky Zubat vs. Corona RazorTooth

Telemark

5 year old buck +
I need a new "pruning" saw. Really I need it mostly for clearing saplings.

I have a Silky Gomboy and a Fiskars folding saw, and both are great for having in a backpack or even a pocket, but neither is up to the task of one of my new projects.

Everyone here talks about how Amazing the Zubat is, but recently I was steered toward a Corona pruning saw that is about 75% cheaper than the Silky and rated just as high.
Anyone have experience with Corona pruning saws?

They sure do look similar. Big teeth for quick cutting and the handles look to have pretty close to the same angle on the grip. Don't see any real difference between them. Could be one just got popular so people ended up paying for the name? Cheaper one looks like it will get the job done. Be great to find a user comparison from someone who's tried both.

I have a Corona folding saw that I feel compares reasonably to my nephew's folding Silky. For the money, I'll stick with my Corona. I'd take the chance on the fixed blade too. However, if money were no object, I'd go with the sure bet of the Silky.

My ZUBAT is always in my side by side.

The thing I really appreciate about the Corona is the price ofnthe replacement blades. If this saw is going to be a workhorse, cheaper blades is a huge plus for me.

Also, I'm a lefty, so I probably won't wear the scabbard. I'm likely to just toss the whole thing in a bucket or tool bag for taking it through the woods. And I'll probably just set the saw on the ground when I need to pick up my loppers/chainsaw/herbicide. Makes me nervous setting a $100 saw on the ground in my work area, especially with its dark handle.
