(Remote) Feeder Monitors

Has anyone found a means to remotely monitor your feeder levels from afar? I noted that Moultrie and WildGame both produce gizmos to do this but the reviews are not supporting their function. Specifically looking to know when my large gravity feeders are running low and to monitor their consumption.

Im in the process of building a feeder. My plan is to install something like a "float" inside that corresponds to level indicator outside, that or a homemade spring based weigh scale. hopefully I could see them in a cell cams daily test photo.

Brilliant idea!

Anyone try the WG or Moultrie ones?

What’s the value proposition here? I’ve never owned a feeder, so I don’t understand your plight.

Put some windows in the hopper, then place a cell cam so that you can see the windows when it goes off.

Be glad you dont know or deal with this mess.

have two big (1600lb) feeders on our Ohio place and I a trying to figure out how to keep track of how much food is in them. Mast is gone, browse is dwindling and plots didnt grow due to drought. So this is the desperation move....

Anyone try the moultrie or WG?
