5b about 3 miles north of the 45th parallel but it’s only a mile from Lake Huron, the big lake keeps it warm I bet.Where is this one usda zone wise?
Bur -Great color. It’s hard to find red flesh with flavor I like. Some I can tolerate.
I forwarded your photos to a friend who indicates they look similar to both Selkirk & Ranetka seedling red-fleshed fruits that he has.Stopped in at my local fur harvester trading post today and when I came out I noticed this crab/apple-crab on the edge of the parking lot.
Fruit was starting to get soft, had decent flavor still.
What does the brain trust here think it is?

Yep, part of my retirement plan is pink hard cider/apple jack. They might be a good addition to a hard cider for adding tannin and color.
