Purple loostrife?

This weed grows along the ground like an ivy with dark green leaves. It sends up spikes of small purple flowers/seeds. It looks like pics of purple loostrife, but this stuff grows close to the ground.

I'm now such an expert on PA Smartweed identification that I point it out while blood trailing after dark :-)

Our one son has it in his lawn. He isn't happy about it, but we got an up-close look at it.
