Pears Vs Crabs zone 7

On a semi-related habitat note, reason I was on the tractor was trying a new trick (to me) for possibly increasing forbs... light discing borders of fields to see if boosts any useable forbs for quail and / or deer.

That I spooked a covey of about 20 quail out of one of my blackberry brambles at least made me feel better about the time spent doing it. Mainly just for kicks and giggles since it's so easy and cheap. Know grassy spots will stay grassy but did it around six different fields with varying levels of grass, weeds, and wild forbs just to see what comes up this initial effort without spraying.

Yea I've had a few frosts in March, including this morning. Had a pear seedling, few crab seedlings, chickasaw plums and mulberry trees flowering. Mulberry flowers are toast, still waiting to see how my others turn out. We had a pretty hard frost today, so I'm not getting my hopes up. Future forecast looks to be much warmer for my area too!
