Time to start attacking willows and cattails

I can report Rodeo kills cattails dead. It also works on other plants better than generic gly it seems.

Anyway we lost alot of fish to high water events. I think this pond may just have to be a regular old bass and bluegill pond.

I have to get to mine and kill off a bunch of narrow leaf cattails - and of course the willows .

rodeo is 51% gly, no surfactants, approved for use around water.

Ive lost most of my fish

Edit just called and picking up 100 regular bluegill. We are transitioning to a good ole bass and bluegill pond.

Sorry to hear that you lost your fish. This year was kind of spectacular in the amount of big rain we got. I wouldn't count on it doing this every year. We sure like our hybrid bluegill and channel cats. The hybrids are always a blast to catch.

We've lost so many hybrid bluegills that its been 3 fishing trips since a fish was caught. Maybe 12 channel cats come up to feed, and possibly half a dozen hybrids. Regular bluegill are 1/2 price and will reproduce so I don't have to constantly dump fish in.

Today was fast and furious hybrids on grasshoppers. Some are getting pretty big

I just closed on a piece of ground that has about a 3 acre spring fed pond/marsh it doesn't freeze with spring running but is only 3-4 ft deep so it stays colder.I researched and bluegill was one of the fish recommended for colder water but didn't really say what temps.Has anyone else had anything similar and what fish survived

Little man wants to hunt in the AM so I put my blind down there. Plan to leave it for the year so I can make easy hunts after work. A few wood ducks around and alot of ducks and geese flying by so hope we can scratch out a couple.

About a year but I feed them.

New goal of trafficking some geese into the pond and harvesting one. No luck yesterday
