Not a Hazelnut

I purchased 25 hazelnuts. 24 of them look like this.

After checking the list of shrubs they sell every year, I'm thinking it might be serviceberry.

When it stops raining here I'll go grab a few pics for you. I have both hazelnuts and serviceberry. Looks like serviceberry to me too
