Next Range toy?

Don't really need anything else....but Savage is coming out with new 110 models for 2026 . From what I've seen so far all plastic stock jobs , I can resist for now unless they come out with a wood stock model 110 like the old American Classics and Euro Classics.

Henry is coming out with a 30 30 Provider , wood stock pistol grip. I asked for this in Henry's suggestion box so when funds allow I'll add one to the collection.

My main hunting rifle is a synthetic stock Savage 116 Weather Warrior in .300 Savage , and I own 2 other synthetic stock models.

With that said I really prefer a wood stock.

My brother in law has a full auto lower, and I've burned up a few hundred bucks in .223 ammo already. It's also loud as shit. We had cars stopping and staring, which I didn't care for.

Would be a blast to get a silenced 9mm upper for the old Rat-tat-tat. Cheaper and attracts less attention. Maybe even a .22 upper if that's a thing. Then we could teach his kids to shoot full auto.

That's one of the reasons I'm thinking about a bolt action upper... save some money. Plus I'm not huge on blowback that can happen with a suppressed semi. AND... I absolutely can't stand the springy boing sound that so many AR's seem to have when you shoot.

Apparently you can swap parts to avoid those problems. Look into a down-venting BCG and a better buffer kit. I went down the rabbit hole yesterday, and I got a bit overwhelmed at all the options.

I peeked at the rabbit hole but kept my distance. Overriding is a bolt will save money through ammo costs, plus I already have several semi-auto AR's but no bolts (yet).
