New Wisconsin Bear Management Plan

Just a heads up for anyone that hunts bear in Wisconsin or owns land in Wisconsin. The new plan includes some major Zone changes and with that change will allow the use of dogs in Zone C. Zone C has the biggest change as it will cover an area that has a lot of private land. The plan can be read here:

I’m in Zone C and it’s basically all private land where we are located. I can image hound hunting would cause some conflict between the hound hunters, bait hunters, and early deer season bowhunters in my area.

Hopefully they limit the hound hunting to private land. That will minimize conflict.
