New knife

Mahindra3016

5 year old buck +
A few weeks ago i sent my dad a picture of a grafting knife to see what he could come up with, and this is what i got in the mail today, very sharp, but a little thick for whip and tongue grafts, but should be great for bark grafts. The blade is made from an old saw mill blade.

Is the handle made from antler? Any reason you couldn't grind it down farther for a whip and tongue knife? What type of metal did the make old saw blades from? All questions aside that's a great looking knife.

Wow, a one of a kind grafting knife. That's pretty neat.

Thanks, ill ask him about the saw blade metal the next time i talk to him, it is an antler handle. I dont really want to grind this one down, but if i have him do another one ill see if i can get it thinner.

I'd cherish that knife, imperfect or not.

I definitely do, i have gutted every deer that i have ever got with one of his homemade knives!

Very cool!

Personal craftsmanship from your dad. Don't care how that knife performs, it's a keeper!

Awesome I'd say!
