Here's a theory. Maybe the military is running A&I drills in the area. It would be nobody's business other than the military if they were doing that. We did it for years and never notified any civilians if or when we were doing it. We didn't use drones but technology has changed and maybe that's how they do it now.

Not sure what laws are on drones and operators. I read that drones are limited to 400 feet elevation. Not sure if you need a license?......or need to register the drone? Going forward, it seems like some government agency will want to regulate and charge lots of fees to own and operate drones.

Drones are limited to 400' AGL. Drones are also prohibited from flying over people and vehicles under some circumstances, mainly hovering. If during flight you pass over people or vehicles, you are exempt. You can also get an FAA waiver to break most all FAA rules if you apply and have cause. You do not need a license if you are a "hobbyist." If you are flying commercially, you need an FAA part 107 certificate. If anything you do is commercial, Law Enforcement, realty, cinematography, crop spraying, etc, you must have the FAA part 107.

That could be true. If it is true, then our President has blatantly lied to us once again. His spokesperson, John Kirby said plainly to the press that our government didn't know who was behind the drones. But, why should we be surprised at Biden lying.................
If it is them, they could tell us it is them without telling us specifically what they are doing. I think most reasonable people understand that the government has to do some things that can't be made public.
PS - Just saw Mayorkas as I was typing this saying essentially the same thing. I sure hope it is a lie rather than incompetence.

I hope everyone can see the hypocrisy of this. They are too unsafe and may harass wildlife over a national wildlife refuge, but it's perfectly fine to do it to your neighbor. This reminds me of the gun control Nazis in Washington. You shouldn't be able to own a gun for your protection, but it's perfectly fine for their bodyguards to own guns to protect them.

A fellow I know is into drones big time. One time he attempted to fly his drone, and it would not respond. A message came up on the laptop screen that flying at that time was punishable by the FBI for unauthoriized use. Turns out Air Force One with Brandon on board had just lifted off from the airport 40 miles away. So the gov't can indeed control their use.
