My tiny shed to cabin project

Interesting heater.
Not saying it’s bad but I would want. C02 alarm in there somewhere. Never know....

I bought a good carbon monoxide detector, and will be purchasing two more just in case.

Thats my worry, our dog eating a poisoned mouse.
I don’t think you need to worry about that as much as your dog eating the actual poison. Poison that’s a second generation killer would be death to birds and is usually regulated very strictly because of this. It s the reason they removed Timic (spelling) from production. It was a poison used by peanut farmers.

Created a sub floor with insulation for over hang loft and covered the dry wall. Have a few little spots to wood putty in. Overall happy with it, and didn’t want to mud and tape. Iam getting there pretty much only need a loft ladder now, and then to make an outhouse ( thinking about converting a hunting blind into one so I can shoot them on the crapper.

Not related to my tiny cabin, but it's an improvement to my property. I had 3 tower blinds installed today! The guys installing them also found a decent shed.

Nice bases. The antler and boxes…

Any updates to the cabin this year?

I'll be updating my heat source from a Chinese diesel heater to a Dickerson p9000 propane heater this week when I'm muzzle loader hunting. The china diesel heater keeps breaking. I'm on my second one in the few years. Stink bugs this year some how got into my cabin this year and clogged up the unit. Pisses me off as those things are relentless and love nesting in motors and engines. I swear they are attracted to gas / diesel or something.I'll provide pictures this week. Next year I plan on getting a storage container either a 20 or 40 footer, and either the following a red neck 6x8 big country, red neck cabin, or 360 XL on the south side of property and convert into a little cabin I can spend multiple days in.

IMG_20241206_172621336.jpghere it is. So far like the unit. It was a little expensive, but It definitely helps with the cold. It's doesn't get too hot. Install wasn't bad did have an oops and drill an exhaust hole in a spot that wouldn't work. So now I have to patch it.

My mess up. Gonna need to paint it red it's already annoying me.

I can see me doing that...

That heater isn't to close to the side wall is it?

it shouldn't be . Side clearance is only 2 inches on the sides, 6 inches on the bottom and 20 inches for the top.

I got the bigger P12000 in a 6x12 enclosed trailer. You might want to make an adjustable vent of some sort. Or have a wedge that you can use as a gauge to accurately crack a window open.

Walmart has a small 25 watt or so heated blanket that runs off of 12v. Might want that for bad nights maybe. I use that blanket in hunting blinds sometimes.

Yeah I did crack a window. My cabin is pretty air tight. How many watts does that 12v blanket use? I need to get propane detector/ CO detector, and smoke detector. Have you had issues with your p12000 in your enclosed trailer?
