Morse nursery

Angus 1895

5 year old buck +
I’m considering buying the 50 % discount oaks advertised at Morse. Specifically the Concordia.

Anyone have any experience with them and their Concordia?

Thanks

For those sizes they offer just buy from MDC. I had several this year that were 3 feet tall for 0.60 each. The fall potted photo is a potted bare root seedling from this spring that my brother never got in the ground. The one in the 5 foot tree tube is one I planted in April 2023.

I second this. Bought about 20 from MDC this past spring and they look real nice.

Concordia ?

Mozark sent me acorns two years ago and they really seem to like my deal.

Yes, Concordia.
I got some from Mozark, too, which look nice.
Concordia isn't a super fast grower for me so far, but I think they'll be fine.
Schuette's and Bebbs are stellar.

Does MDC sell them?

Mozarks are thriving but not outgrowing all of the varieties. But I figure by looking so vibrant they will do fine in the long run.

I bought Bebbs and Steudel here:

Schuette's here, but looks like they're sold out.

Thanks!

Morse has bebbs on sale but the schuettes is full price.

I have some of the Seargent Oaks from Morse that I planted in 2008. They are pretty big now I would say 15-20 feet. I was surprised how fast they grew.
