Not even close. At least when I paid for Obamacare I got health insurance. These people are flat-out stealing from us, and the politicians are helping them do it. Absolutely zero oversight. For $50k they could have hired someone to drive around checking locations to verify the money was being spent as it was meant to be. Instead, billions of dollars has been stolen from American taxpayers. This is the biggest scandal since the no-bid Haliburton contracts.

I'm talking about the family/medical paid leave act.

Minnesota has the most upside potential for new business and actual residency if it were not for the high taxes, poor leadership and crazy laws that are holding it back .

I can guarantee you thousands of NR lake home & cabin owners of would become residents.

New businesses would start up here, or expand !

It's night and day on those border towns.. Spent 7 or 8 years as a fargo resident, would never choose to live in moorhead instead. And the hunting in most of the dakotas is more desirable IMO. Some of the SE MN and Otter Tail/Becker county deer hunting can be pretty good but as a whole i'd rather hunt the dakotas.

Almost every time Minnesota comes up in discussion here people want to drag it through the mud. I've lived in several other states and one other country. Minnesota is a hell of a lot better than most, and far from even being mediocre by most metrics, let alone an "embarrassment".

If you wanted to look at composite rankings from US News and World Report, MN is #4.

In terms of overall human health, MN also ranks #4.

Ok, sure, the people are healthier than 46 other states, but it is so expensive here. Adjusted per capita personal income (how much a dollar buys you), Minnesota is ranked #9.

I think where a person is at geographically makes a huge difference. The metro areas are a good place to avoid in my opinion. For some reason it seems like the taller the buildings are the dumber the people. That's just my personal experience here in Minnesota. Trying to run a business that requires people to actually show up physically to their job is getting close to impossible here. Local schools are hurting for decent teachers and catering to minorities doesn't seem to be working out to well. I have my doubts about our states' elections being on the up and up. Just my opinion after living here my whole life.

Thank you California for pioneering “medical weed” and allowing black market growers to legally grow 25 plants with a “caretaker” license and thank you Colorado for pioneering the weed for everyone movement. Thank you Oklahoma and California for using the Chinese to grow weed at massive scale. We should all keep telling ourselves that high THC weed and even higher potency refined THC products are curing every ailment there is and isn’t addictive. We are a country of absolute morons.

Now we just need to give everyone half the year off to sit on their couches stoned out of their minds ignoring their kids.

We gotta figure this out too. I don’t know how to say this but we conservatives declared war teachers unions in the big cities trying to make things better but in doing so we also declared war on the good teachers trying to do a good job. Teaching is an honorable and difficult profession. We let the memes convince us otherwise. Young teachers are the meat in the sandwich, just like young cops are. Who in their right mind would want to enter either profession right now.
