Once the state reaches curtain level of corruption examples Illinois, New York, California there is no fixing it they rig the elections. These places turn into democrat run cease pools of corruption.
The big problem with this is that the amounts they are collecting will fall way short of what will be paid to the lazy/worthless who take advantage of this idiotic idea. There is no way it can actually work. Wonder where they'll get all of the money to pay those who take 5 months off with almost full pay. It's not even the money that will crash the program but the lack of employers being able to find replacements for 5 months. Then the replacements qualify for 5 months at almost full pay as soon as they earn $3,500. IT CAN'T WORK. Every employer would need 5x the amount of workers they need to possibly fill in for those who abuse the program. Simple math will tell you this has zero chance and will send the largest employers like costco and walmart packing up and going anywhere else. How about hospitals? Airports? Law enforcement? teachers? IT CAN'T WORK. jmho.88% of wages in Minnesota soon will go into a pot to pay out to other employees who choose not to work for one of a million reasons. Employers can't say no for most reasons, so it will be a goat rodeo. A goat rodeo that gives employees with attendance issues some paid time off that is paid for by the employees who show up and work.
varies based on wages and is a % of wages with total payment value capped of state average (cant recall mean or median) weekly salary.Jsas I read they can pull this 20 week crap every year. Can you please explain how much they collect per week based on their salary and actually who is paying for it? The land of the snowflake never ceases to amaze me

Wind pretty much summed it up. The math doesn't work for the program. Guessing more taxes on the working people will be needed to fill in the missing dollars after people start taking 5 months a year and still get paid enough to avoid going back to work for as long as they can milk that free money. Anyone making less than 100k a year gets roughly 90% of their regular wage. Anyone making over 100k only gets 67% I believe. Brought to you by GOV. WALZ. here in Minnesota. I was going to change my employees to be independent contractors but they don't fit the legal description for that. Twilight zone stuff.
I myself see this as another Obama care. jmo
