Minnesota is a national embarrassment.

Once the state reaches curtain level of corruption examples Illinois, New York, California there is no fixing it they rig the elections. These places turn into democrat run cease pools of corruption.

At least Minnesota people can still change the future of their state. I changed citizens to people because, I don't know if the citizens in Minnesota actually are enough of the people that vote to have a difference in an election.

It's embarssing to be from MN. I need to change my forum name!

A Precarious State good documentary about the situation in MN from a long time news guy.

You guys are definitely getting some attention and it isn’t the right kind. I noticed the criminals from the spawn of the refugees coming out of there in the early 2000’s so it’s been going on longer I bet.

Here in Illinois we used to have some pretty damn competent republicans running for and holding statewide office but now we run unelectable bozos. A republican could win but they really need to tone down the wacky talk and goofy videos. Darrin Bailey has absolutely zero chance of being elected governor but he’s running again.

Before anyone tells me I’m wrong, know that we have a super minority in the state legislature and no constitutional offices held by republicans. These jokers blame it on corruption etc but the last big round of politicians we sent to the big house were all democrats.

It really caused problems that most of the state has no say in what Chicago democrats want to do with the budget and crime. Half the legislature are goofs from high crime neighborhoods trying to keep their street crime friends and family members out of prison.

.88% of wages in Minnesota soon will go into a pot to pay out to other employees who choose not to work for one of a million reasons. Employers can't say no for most reasons, so it will be a goat rodeo. A goat rodeo that gives employees with attendance issues some paid time off that is paid for by the employees who show up and work.
The big problem with this is that the amounts they are collecting will fall way short of what will be paid to the lazy/worthless who take advantage of this idiotic idea. There is no way it can actually work. Wonder where they'll get all of the money to pay those who take 5 months off with almost full pay. It's not even the money that will crash the program but the lack of employers being able to find replacements for 5 months. Then the replacements qualify for 5 months at almost full pay as soon as they earn $3,500. IT CAN'T WORK. Every employer would need 5x the amount of workers they need to possibly fill in for those who abuse the program. Simple math will tell you this has zero chance and will send the largest employers like costco and walmart packing up and going anywhere else. How about hospitals? Airports? Law enforcement? teachers? IT CAN'T WORK. jmho

Trashball is out. Klobuchar will now be our governor. I wonder if she will appoint tampon Tim to finish her term in the Senate?

That didn't take long. Grotty teeth/ dirty mouth is already in...... I wonder if she will appoint Walz to her senate seat after they steal this election? The money will keep flowing to the fraudsters.

Klobuchar was probably in on the grift too.
I’m pretty sure she will get scrutinized with a microscope by CIA and FBI if she throws her hat in the ring.
Tampon is going to be in some real trouble, it will be interesting to see if his handlers can cover the trail of fraud without getting implicated themselves.

Jsas I read they can pull this 20 week crap every year. Can you please explain how much they collect per week based on their salary and actually who is paying for it? The land of the snowflake never ceases to amaze me

varies based on wages and is a % of wages with total payment value capped of state average (cant recall mean or median) weekly salary.

Funded by a 0.88% payroll tax of which employer has to pay a minimum of half.

Wind pretty much summed it up. The math doesn't work for the program. Guessing more taxes on the working people will be needed to fill in the missing dollars after people start taking 5 months a year and still get paid enough to avoid going back to work for as long as they can milk that free money. Anyone making less than 100k a year gets roughly 90% of their regular wage. Anyone making over 100k only gets 67% I believe. Brought to you by GOV. WALZ. here in Minnesota. I was going to change my employees to be independent contractors but they don't fit the legal description for that. Twilight zone stuff.

Can't think of any state that has gone to shit as fast as Minnesota has. 30 years ago if you went down south you would get hired if you were from Minnesota. Not the case now. jmho

Hard to say of the math works or not until utilization rate is known. I'm not taking a 70% pay cut to sit at home. Lots of people cant take a 33% pay cut.

Since tampon Tim is not running can you flip the state? What about your 8 vouch voting program?

I myself see this as another Obama care. jmo

Not even close. At least when I paid for Obamacare I got health insurance. These people are flat-out stealing from us, and the politicians are helping them do it. Absolutely zero oversight. For $50k they could have hired someone to drive around checking locations to verify the money was being spent as it was meant to be. Instead, billions of dollars has been stolen from American taxpayers. This is the biggest scandal since the no-bid Haliburton contracts.
