Minnesota is a national embarrassment.

Cuz it's good guys vs bad guys?

That’s what I keep going back to. One side is literally trying to uphold the law and make this country safer. The other is sewing chaos and I guess advocating for criminals, and some real monsters at that. It’s confusing to me that we’ve arrived here. But here we are. How does it end? I have a feeling not well cause the two sides are so far apart it’s not like they can meet on the middle

I still haven't seen one valid reason that the protestors are protecting violent criminals.

Are illegals there working honest jobs, yes. They may be overlooked if the local politicians and protestors let/cooperated with the CBP, ICE and Minnesota law enforcement remove the already identified criminal illegals.

I'm pretty sure that if the violent criminals were removed CBP/ICE would move on to the next major nest of violent criminals.

Exactly. I’ve watched zero videos on the subject. But I’m on the side of ICE. They’re doing their job. Protestors are just idiots causing mayhem. And most of the country realize it’s the same scum that burned the place when George Floyd overdosed.

Stated goal of ICE is good. When you have to lie about what the world can plainly see happened, start saying ignorant things about the 2nd amendment, and generally start acting like Bolsheviks it’s hard to keep claiming “good guys” status.

People aren't even questioning if Noem, Patel, et al are lying when there are multiple camera angles refuting the narrative they are trying to create. There are people not even questioning it because the second a lie is acknowledged, they might have to recognize other lies might exist. Tribalism is a hell of a drug.

"The party told you to reject your eyes and ears, it was their final, most essential command." We have skipped this step because there are people refusing to even use their eyes and ears.

Biden’s handlers let at least 10 million illegals into this country. I want them out. I really don’t give a rats ass if someone in the streets protesting it gets shot.

They could straight up mow the whole bunch of them down and I’d still be on the side of ICE.

That's delusional, you purposefully don't want to see that people are harboring violent criminals, let alone that they are here illegally. Why do you support protecting violent criminals?

Protecting violent criminals is not peaceful protest, attacking and impeding law enforcement is not peaceful protest.

Why on earth does the land of 10000 snow flakes want to pay for 300 illegals in jails instead of handing them over? Ask your officials who are so pro environmental why they want more illegals in your state to use more water, run up housing costs and run cars which promotes global warming?

We argued this was OK

But turtling with a pistol holstered.. Kash saying it’s not ok for a legal ccw holder to have a gun at a protest. And this outrageous response..

Hard to understand how a person could be so blinded by political identity that they buy this. Especially after watching the numerous videos from different angles showing the same thing. Makes me that much more concerned about what happens when the other side takes control.

People make mistakes, own it and move on rather than pretending people don’t have eyes and brains.

Come on. This is not the same thing as Rittenhouse. Kyle was there do protect people and property from a violent mob, some of whom were armed, and was attacked by the violent mob. He never interfered with police and surrendered to police after the shooting.

This last guy who got shot was a a part of the mob, and he was armed, and he interfered with police and physically resisted, while armed.

Surely you see the difference.

It's the damn Democrats who are telling us to reject our eyes and ears, and our common sense and rule of law.

In wouldn't even call them protesters at this point. Anyone who interferes with official police business is a criminal.

There is a significant difference for sure. I dont consider trying to shield a woman much of physical resistance, especially when disoriented with a face full of pepper spray. I didn't see any sign of brandishing or reaching for it. No evidence anyone even knew he was armed until he was turtled and his shirt came up exposing it on the back of his hip. Different than open carrying an AR. And yes, i felt Kyles cause was just and was thrilled when he was exonerated and disagree with Alex's interference.

It's the claims I take issue with. Kash Patel saying "you cant have a gun at a protest" is some wild stuff.

I cant speak for @Hoytvectrix but i'd love it if the state would hand over everyone in custody that isn't here legally.

I'll give you an example of why the handling bothers me - Two of my closest friends send their kids to a spanish immersion daycare. One of the primary employees there's husband was detained 2 weeks and allegedly sent to TX. Word from daycare is that he had all his papers in order and was not a criminal. My gut reaction to all of this was "yeah, sure he was. Why would they bother with a productive dude with papers in order." But the guy is back home now one would think he wasn't too bad.

Then we see Bessent, Patel, DHS, etc coming out lying about what we can see happened with our own eyes. Saying it's illegal to have a gun at a protest, that he violently resisted, that he wanted to "inflict maximum damage and massacre law enforcement" because he had 2 magazines. It sounds like what Biden/Walz would say about Kyle Rittenhouse. When you openly make absurd statements like that it makes it a lot harder to dismiss all of the claims of legal citizens/immigrants being harassed and mistreated.

There's going to be resistance from the left against any immigration control no-matter how justified. But moving forward with seeming immunity and lying about what we can actually see happened gives me the heebie jeebies regardless of the fact that this is the side i voted for.

Regardless of feelings one way or another. I heard murmurs of folks from the left saying "we need to get armed". I'm sure this put a big pause in a lot of peoples considerations to show up at a protest while packing.

CCW course 101 - dont carry if you're going to put yourself in confrontations or if you're not ready to justifiably use it as its likely to make things much worse. Alex royally f'd up on that front.
