Hey H20, The blush sure to come I'm sure. The difference between NW Ohio and SE Mich (Not much difference I would guess)...how 'bout a different strain of Honeycrisp...could be I guess.
Some of my Pristine are ripe. I have already eaten 2 or 3 fresh from the tree the last couple days. Dont have a lot of them so I will keep sampling as the days go by to see when I like them the best. I really think they are a great apple for this time of year.Pristine - fighting to keep squirrels from cutting down unripe apples / ther may not be many left come first half of August.
Never heard of them before, good article thx for sharing.Have you other Michigan guys heard of Christmas Cove Orchard's in Northport. Randomly ran across this article yesterday, I am gonna go there this fall and check it out. This guy has some great stuff!

thought I grafted Pristine before but can’t identify. I want to plant a few next yearAs far as early apples go...from my collection of Pristine, Zestar, Williams Pride, yes Pristine’s my favorite.
