Maxum field peas

I tried getting Cowpeas like I normally plant every year, but the guy said Field Peas would work since he couldn’t get Cowpeas. They are called Maxum Field Peas. Can these be planted now with Buckwheat or are they better off planted in the Fall in the LC Mix. I would plant them in a week and terminate at the end of August. Any experience or input. Thx

They aren't really the same as cowpeas but they should be a fine warm weather substitute.
