Field layout advice

HAPPY DAD

Yearling... With promise
So i have a 5 acre field that I normally plant in RR corn to leave standing for deer season.

A lot of times I will leave strips to plant my fall blend in to encourage the deer to come out of the corn to eat from time to time and not always stay in the corn eating.

Well this year I was thinking about incorporating sunflowers into this somehow. I have 2 acres beside my house that I plant sunflowers in and we shoot some birds but I would like to have more feed and more room for friends to shoot.

I figure plant my corn in some type of layout and in the other spots plant sunflowers. Then around mid to late September either turn under the sunflowers and plant my fall blend or throw and go the fall blend prior to a rain to fill those areas with a pretty fall plot.

Field is within the blue circle, and the yellow dots are existing deer stands.

Feel free to add your own markups, visuals help a slow fella like me. Thanks guys

No farmer here, but given the top yellow stand site in your pic, I'd maybe plant some corn in lines radiating out from the stand location. Plant corn in 3 or 4 rows, so you can still see deer if they're feeding on corn - then plant your fall greens between the rows. Similar to the lower field in your pic. Many angles to see deer, while still giving them a bit of cover with the corn rows. Just my opinion ..... others will certainly have ideas too.
