Low Sunlight Plot

What's good to plant for a shady plot? I did a search but surprisingly I could not find an answer.

Clover does well in shaded areas. Dutch white and a few others.

My trails are very shaded and the rye and oats did terrific last year for me. It looks like the clover has a nice start but with no leaves on the trees right now I'm not sure how much sun they'll actually get then.

Sometimes, during the hot and dry periods of summer, the shaded areas of clover actually stay more lush.
The Daugherty's talk about planting by the compass. A sunny North exposure should have a better clover plot than a hot, dry, South exposure during the heat of summer.
Sometimes a little shade is good.

Clover has done well for us in shady areas. We have a plot that's shaded on it's southern side by a big oak and a bunch of pines. We planted Alsike and medium red clover in there and it did pretty well for us. Like Tap said above - that shaded area stayed more lush and green in the summer.

Thanks guys
