You do not need any stakes or at most one stake with these unless you are dealing with moose. I have bought the cheapest conduit from Menards and cut a 10 foot piece into 2 or 3 pieces to stake the wire down.Picked a roll up last night. $72.15 with my daughters boyfriends employee discount.
Thanks for the heads up. Now I need the stakes and screen.
I have over 100 grafts in my Nursery. And I'm grafting 110 more in march/April. :)T
That's a lot of cages!

I should let the experts answer that. I believe the answer varies with the rootstock.Sandbur, will I need a stake to support the apple trees? Screen around the base to keep rodents away?
Are we talking stakes to secure the cages or to support the tree? For cages you can probably get away without any stakes if you go with the concrete mesh, personally I like 2 stakes to secure the cage. The trees themselves will benefit from a stake several feet tall to be able to give the main leader some directional support, especially in really windy locations.
How many cages (approximately) are you guys getting out of one of these rolls?
Dont make them any smaller. You will get anterless deer reaching through your cages and doing your pruning for you. You can make them smaller if you wrap a section of poultry wire around the cage to exclude the deer.I'll second Ogemaone's answer. I plan to cut them in 15-ft lengths, making about 5-ft radius cages.

Here's the window screen I bought for rodent protection:
