lets talk about fir trees

This talk got me poking around and I found this article on Balsam Fir in PA. According to this, it only naturally occurs in a few isolated bogs. Might work in one spot for me.

You might want to check out black spruce to for your spot. The balsams on my land will grow almost anywhere high,low,open,shade but the black spruce actually grow in the swamps and are under water a good amount of the year. The balsams wouldn't make it out there. The spruce are a slower growing tree thou.
