I've been trying for years to get grass to grow in a few problem areas in my yard with no success. I'm not one of those guys that is obsessive about my yard. Just looking for something green that will grow and the kids can play on. Any recommendations for the following areas:
- Have a group of white pines that I can't get anything to grow under. Would clover work?
- Part of the back yard consists of large oak and maple trees on a slope. Under those trees, there is no grass and washout from the slope. Anything that is shade tolerant that might work?
