I live in Zone 3b, Northwest Wisconsin, I had done some yard leveling, and some filling in low spots, and scraping high spots in my yard. Is it too late in the year to plant grass seed? Would I be better off planting in the spring? Right now my land is 1/3 black dirt strips, and patches. With the price of grass seed, I do t want to just spread it and pray.
