See if your Kubota dealer would be willing to do an inspection on it pre buy. Even if you have to pay a bit - it’s likely worth the costs even if you don’t buy the tractor. That way you know exactly what you’re getting into!! I know my Kubota dealer will work on my Case. Great folks all around!I have to get a Kubota. I have a Kubota dealership about 5 miles away and do not intend to buy a trailer to haul it. No other brands sold nearby.
This particular one is for sale clean by and is allegedly one-owner, but the hours concern me a little. I’d also need to replace the tires.
I tend to agreeUnless the price was right I would look for another machine. Could be fine but I always trust my gut and sounds like yours is telling you something.
Not sure.....but I think you can expect 3000 hours or more out a a good model without major issues. I'd question 5000 hours tho. But most operators on this site would not put over 200 hours per year and many would not put on 100. So if you use it 100 per year and maintain it.....you may expect another 17 to 25 years out of that tractor? Does that sound logical?Turkish, the 5200 has a turbo, which I find most machines over 50hp do. I’d have to think at 1700 hours it’s closer to failure replacement than it is new.
I bought a new MX6000 a year and a half ago and paid twice that. I'd buy that 2018 in a heartbeat if I were you, might even get it down to 25k?Found another that a dealer has on consignment. 2018 MX5800 4wd with 85 hours for $27k. Has 3rd function for a grapple and 2 rear remotes already. These are options I really want but are hard to come by on used MXs. Seems like it’s priced pretty close to half of a new one. Low hours but sounds like it sat out in the weather some. Some faded paint, no rust. Any thoughts?
It’s a little more than I wanted to spend, but my gut tells me this is a good deal.
