They usually have good trees I have bought several thousand seedlings. However they were for spring planting

I like the crew at the KS Forest Service. I am not really a fan of containerized trees. I highly encourage you to separate the roots when planting. I have planted a number of trees from them that were containterized. You can literally pull the tree out of the ground and the roots will still be in the shape of the container.

Interesting. I bought a 2" auger bit for my cordless drill and go ham planting these plugs. Success rate is good enough I have never pulled one out to check.

Cant speak to all varieties, but that has been our experience with the conifers. I only buy bare root from them now.

I got busy and forgot to check at 8 am. When I looked at 10am, they were already sold out of chickasaw plum. I'll try again next year!

Their a couple hours behind many of us I’d expect by at least noon they will have their site updated but that’s just a guess.

When do the bare root seedlings from Kansas Forest Service go on sale?

I placed an order with MDC this morning but a few things are sold out already. I put in the order anyways (and they normally can fulfill these early orders), but I want to get more persimmon if I can.

I think January 1 but don’t quote me on that
