Last year was it's first year of fruit. It put on a small red crabapple that hung on until mid fall.

Looking good Grey! I have several Vioili's starting 5th leaf and about half have a moderate number of blossoms. Last year they had 1 blossom total on 8 or 10 trees. Yours is loaded! This year we will finally learn a bunch about this variety.

BnB--I have a mature sweet crabapple. Yellow fruit about the size of a golfball. Drops in September. Smells sweet, tastes tannic. Deer don't mind.
