Input shortages

Just paid $94/gallon for liberty herbicide. Ouch!
But at least they had it.

Last time I bought the generic (Interline), Rural King had it for $99 for 2 1/2 gal jug. Times have changed. They still keep the low-ball prince on it, but it is out-of-stock, probably indefinitely at that price!

Our tractor supply stores have dropped price of generic RU from $119 to $99

East Texas TSC have dropped gly from 134$ to 99$

Remedy from 100$/gal to 84$

I just "discovered" Remedy.......A gratifyingly rapid execution of sweetgum by basal spraying.....Im like a kid with an XBOX video game...

Atleast most of you guys dont have to drive out of state to get most herbicides...........

Picked up some tordon while I was mullet fishing in NC.

Went to the local AG coop today. They can not get a price for certain fertiliers for them to blend and sell. Issues with the war I guess.

They were nice to me and gave me last years prices. Only had the car, so bought 2 50lb bags each of triple 15, 6-24-24, and potash. $20 , $21, and $17 each.

Little surprised at them this year, they had chicory $7 a lb. Scooped up 2 or 3 lbs, some essex rape, ladino, turnips, and buckwheat.

$177 for 6 bags of fert and 15lbs of so of different seeds.

Russia is the biggest exporter of fertilizer in the world. That may be causing problems.

China is a major exporter of phosphorus, and they ban exports from time to time.

Nitrogen fertilizer is made from natural gas, and the Iran war may be affecting supply.

I already bought several bags of triple 12 this winter to cover my needs for the year. Memards had it relatively cheap, so I loaded up before demand ramped up in the Spring. I like a diverse seed blend in my plots, so I always use triple 12, and that's what my trees and shrubs get. Keeps it simple and cheap.
