Input from the Pennsylvania guys

Pennsylvania guys, I have to travel to the Tobyhanna area for work. I'm normally a Hilton guy, but I'm being told we need to stay either at:

1) Mount Airy Lodge and Casino
2) Pocono Manor


Which should I choose?

Sorry, I'm in the same position as Bowsnbucks. Maybe Sidehill Phil will know??? I think he might be located closer to that area?? I could help you if you were coming to the central part of the state.

Im in NE PA....but not the poconos. In fact the poconos are just a pass thru type of place for me....rarely if ever do i stop for more than gas or food on my way to or from the wife's family in NW NJ.

All that said, Mount Airy will ensure you have plenty of entertainment and food....can be expensive from what i've been told. Mount Airy is also one of the closest casinos to NYC metro area so i'll let you fill in the blanks in terms of the casino patron make up. Although my wife's grandmother makes frequent trips to the casino....so it can't be too grimey. I have never set foot in the place, but i have been in the parking lot....i was the DD for my wife's sister's bachelorlette party and they went there to have dinner and drinks.

I have no idea about Pocono Manor. That whole area was recently all over the national news with the man hunt for the accused cop killer, Eric Frein.
