Hyslop Edible Crab Apple

Anybody have any experience with Hyslop crabapples?

Yes. We had 2 of them at camp, but they turn dry and punky very quickly. One got pushed over by a bear - didn't replace it. Very short window for picking / eating /cider(?) in our experience. Good for pollination purposes - but I wouldn't buy another one. I replaced the one Hyslop with a chestnut crab.

Good info thanks

Don't want to burst anyone's balloon on Hyslop crab - but that's what we've seen.

I was unfamiliar with them your description seems inline with others I’ve seen online I’ll probably just avoid it to many other excellent choices.
