Correct. It is illegal to hunt over bait in Illinois. In addition to placing food out such as apples or corn, you can't hunt over mineral licks, Also, it's illegal to place mineral out. At least it was when I lived there. .

I’m sorry for the vagueness. I had seen something that on the surface was illegal but was able to clear it up with the individual and all is well

Booner 21 - Did you mean "mow" standing crops? If so, that is correct, (which makes no sense to me). Except for waterfowl. You can't manipulate crops planted for waterfowl.
