How do you predominately use your cam- Video mode or pics

I am run exclusively video mode these days. I have been for about 5 years now. Browning cameras will allow a massive card, so I run 128Gb cards to keep cameras from filling up after 3-4 months between checks.

1.) Energizer Ultimate Lithiums
2.) cameras are not on major food sources.
3.) low deer densities
4.) DIY 12V backup batteries.

There are now solar panels with built in batteries available on the market. I bought one for my first cell camera that I have on my family’s small piece. It performs very well also.

This is why I run videos…. I have 4 years of history with this buck, and I’m hoping he shows back up on the public piece he usually does after the pressure of muzzleloader season. Hopefully no one got him last year.

I also like this one.

Good stuff Ike !

I switched to AA alkalines this season due to the cost of Lithium AAs. Alkaline suck.

I picked up a solar panel sold by Browning, and have built a couple of 10 amp hour 12 v rechargeable battery packs. I have high hopes for them.
