You can goblet squat with a dumbbell down to a bench or a chair bending over and using primarily your hips. I did that for a few months until it was too easy and I decided to invest in the home gym. I love my platform, power rack and barbells. I can’t think of a better way to spend 2 grand.

I did a couple of sets last night, 8-10 squats each, holding a 25 pound plate to my chest. It was much easier on my lower back than having a bar up on my shoulders, something I will keep doing.

The low bar position on the rear delt does not hurt anywhere near as much as sitting on top of the traps.

Been a daily beer drinker for the last 35 years. Using the Sinclair Method which I found online, I’ve went from an average of 6 beers a day to 1 a day. Started it 3 months ago and now I’m sleeping much better have less acid reflux and even got back in the gym. Trying to get my A1c number down to avoid going on diabetes meds. We’ll see how that’s going this week…

Speaking of health and wellness, I had a first today. I got my feet tangled while running a chainsaw and fell on the blade. Going in for an x-ray tomorrow, but I may have broken my right hand tripping the blade stop. Thankfully though as my left upper arm and face bounced off the chain. Puncture in my arm and the face screen on my helmet saved my money maker… Close close call today. Wow that happened quick…

Might have been longer. Just glad that $hit is over.. 🤣
I think it may be why there are so many late life divorces.
 
Some dominant bucks are full rut year round. Some does have four fawns and then wear long chastity robes over their pj's. I read all the Zoobooks but apparently missed one along the way.
 
Stepped up my routine 2 weeks ago and it is paying off. Now I do 30 min on the stationary bike, then 4 sets of 25 body squats, push-ups and crunches for a total of 100. Plus walking 2 miles with the Mrs. Down 10 lbs already. Not bad for a 56 YO. My long term goal is to be elk hunting at 80. Now the wife is chasing me LOL

A1C dropped by .3
Keeping my foot on the gas, stepping up my workout intensity and reducing alcohol to once a week.
