Has anyone made a duck pond?

Prices for ponds must really vary from area to area.

The last pond we put in four years ago that is around one acre, 20’ deep at deep end, 15’ at shallow end with a swimming area and including stone around the banks was $20K.
And the contractor built up our house lot area 4’ with the spoil dirt and did the road and wind screening with the rest. All for that price.

That's a really good deal, much better than the quotes I've received for dirt moving projects over the years.

14” !

I’ll post up a pic next time the grandkids come over fishing.
I think we are going to do a fish fry next month, hundreds come up now when I feed so going to thin a little. Big females will go back in, males and medium size 9”-10” will go into the peanut oil.

A 14" perch is a trophy for sure, that's awesome! How is your native minnow population - are they able to find places to hide and successfully breed? I'm assuming your pond has a bunch of aquatic bugs as well that supplement the diets of your fish. How much supplemental food do you go through in a month?

I've never even seen a perch that size. That's incredible.
