Just got home from a flag raising and veterans day program at work. It seems like yesterday I was standing on the yellow footprints ar MCRD. Unfortunately that was 1985!

Woah… I was born in 83. 9/11 happened on my 4th day of Basic Training. We actually took our platoon photo about the time the first tower was coming down and had no idea… Coming up on 23 years now. Getting ready to hang it up I think. It’s a young man’s game for sure…

Just saw this thread today. God Bless all our veterans. I have a number of them from both sides of my family, that served in the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force. (WW II, Korean, Viet Nam, and every Middle East conflict, as well as non-conflict service.)
