Had a Great Morning

Beautiful morning here in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts. Heard this guy gobbling at 5:45 AM and took me an hour to "talk 'em up" and call him in. I heard him spitting and drumming before I ever saw him. Came in alone in full strut and took the shot at 15 yards. Not a huge bird...a typical western Mass. 2 year old, 8 inch beard, 7/8" spurs, about 17 pounds.

Best thing this was on my land that I have continued to make improvements on for about 2 or 3 years for both deer and turkey. Before that we NEVER had turkeys around. Never. Feels good to see my efforts paying off.
