Does anyone have any experience with these or something similar? I've been searching for a no till drill to buy before the year is up but I'm struggling to find exactly what I want. This caught my eye because it comes in a 7' width which is what I want, looks like it weighs a little over 2,000 lbs which is about what I'd like and I trust Great Plains quality but don't really want to drop $20,000+ on a drill if I don't need to.
I also don't want to regret not going all out on the drill so here's my situation. I have a Deere 7000 that does a good job no tilling my corn and beans. I'm wanting to use a drill for grasses, alfalfa, brassicas, cereal grains (dbltree mixes), sorghum, and pretty much anything else I may decide to put in a plot besides corn or soybeans.
I've rented Great Plains drills a couple of times and they are awesome, but I've never even seen one of these seeders in person. Does anyone have any words of wisdom about them?
