Grafts question

ToddG

5 year old buck +
I bark grafted some Bradford pears last spring and most had 2 to 3 grafts. Should I remove all but the strongest graft now or just let them grow as is? These were very large Bradford pears that I cut off about 4ft from the ground. Thanks,

I would remove the others

They will help the top of the stump callous over if you leave them all in place. You can cut 2 of the 3 back quite a bit so that the other one can begin to take shape as your new tree.

Thanks for the help.
