Grafting ?

Can you graft a scion that already has buds? I just got my rootstock today and forgot to clip some scion before they started budding. Anyway, I grafted 4 different kinds. I also planted my 4 trees from blue hill today as well - 2 crabs and 2 apples.

I've successfully grafted plums with very swollen buds, but not open. Your's has leaves?

Not really but the buds just broke open, if that makes sense

I think it's not ideal but you have a shot. We'll know soon I guess.
