GardePro R3 Pro and WIFI HUb

JLemon

5 year old buck +
Is anyone using the new WIFI hub? They state the R3 Pro camera will connect to it up to 3000 feet away. If this is real world numbers it would be perfect for me.

Thinking about picking one up. I have a 3 acre clearcut behind my house that I am thinking about setting up a bait station for coyotes. I get terrible cell service, so this might work. Haven't pulled the trigger yet though.

I ended up buying a hub and one R3 Pro from Gardepro. When I noticed they ship from mainland China I bought a hub and the T6 LRW from Trailcampro and got it in 2 days. Same hub and minor camera differences. The longest I could test on my property is 1000 feet and it connects with 2-3 bars of signal (out of 5) through thick cover and dome hills. Pictures come within 5 seconds. I only have about 8 acres and this system is perfect for me. I’ll be buying 4-5 more cameras and still have the system I bought from Gardepro coming.

Wow...that's great to hear. I just got back from the farthest corner of my clear cut and I get absolutely no cellular service. So this is looking like my only option. About to pull the trigger now.

Where does the Hub mount? Does that need to go in the house next to the router someplace?

Thanks for the update.

You can leave it in the house but I figured I’d get a better signal if I mounted it outside. They say the hub is weatherproof and it comes with a mount. I didn’t want to risk it so I drilled 2 holes in a plastic ammo can. One for the antenna and one for the Ethernet cable and siliconed them closed. A cable goes to the POE adapter and from there to your router. Trailcampro has a YouTube video on the setup and pairing.
