food plot too big?

I didn't plant a screen this past year but will probably plant one this year. I'm also debating apple trees and a waterhole. The deer really used the plot from June thru December, and we shot a buck off it, so I really don't have any complaints. I'll probably still do some tinkering but, all in all, a good first year food plot.

For what it's worth, I still miss that little kill plot. :emoji_sunglasses:

Awesome stuff. Great pics. Thanks for sharing.

Based on your pictures I think you have a winning plot. How big was the buck that was killed off that plot?

The downside of plots that big is that the deer can stay on the far side of the plot, keeping them out of bow range. I've had good luck by adding a rub/scrape tree 15 yards from my stand. One tree that really sticks out like a sore thumb can draw in a pretty high percentage of bucks that visit the plot.
