What fish finder in the $300-600 range would you suggest? Too many options these days.

I have a hummingbird with gps that was around $700, don't remember the model#. Sure has made it a lot easier to fish large lakes with structure. At the time all I heard was that hummingbird had a lot better product from salesmen.

Im really looking hard at the Hummingbird 5" SI with side imaging. Around $500

I got the Hummingbird 597ci HD combo and really like it. I don't think they make that model any more but have models that compare.

I looked at mine it is a 788 di, that is down imaging which I don't really understand because it is really no different than the regular sonar. I do wish it had the side imaging, that looks pretty neat. Other than that I really like it, works good with no problems
