Since I was exceptionally good last year, my wife bought me a new Crossbow for Christmas. As I get older, I am less inclined to pick up the well used Mathews Z7. My first crossbow, purchased in 2013 after shoulder surgery, was a Wicked Ridge Invader. While it still works great, it is wide and cumbersome. I finally set up a practice area to test out the NXT and was pleased to see the bow was close to near zero for the first shot, and, after a quick adjustment, was consistent at 20 and 30 yards shooting freehand.
It will take some time to get used to the crossbow, but much less than a new vertical bow.
Well, I am back to the practice range as I am already behind the curve for the opener, but I figure if I practice every few days, I'll may be ready for September.

20 yard, first shot

30 yards, 2nd shot.
With a degree of confidence the scope is close to zero, it's now time to put some holes in the new Morrell (that was also a Christmas gift).
