The Sopranos
The Wire
True Detective (Except the season set in L.A.)
Hell On Wheels
Homeland
The Americans
House M.D. I still watch episodes of this.
Ted Lasso. This is a really good series. “Roy Kent! He’s here, he’s there, he’s every effing where!”
Bloodline
Slow Horses (Love this one!)
The Diplomat
Tehran
Stuff I watched with my wife I never would have guessed I would like:
Game Of Thrones (took us two tries. The first time we didn’t get past the tower scene in one of the first episodes. Good gawd.)
Downton Abbey
We are currently watching Shrinking which is pretty funny, great dialogue
Comedies:
Modern Family
30 Rock. I personally think this may be one of the funniest shows on tv. My wife doesn’t get it. Sometimes I’m not sure why it’s so funny but it is.
Veep. Also very funny. Lot’s of bad language. I laugh so hard I can’t breathe sometimes.
I liked Narcos and especially Narcos Mexico. It’s work to watch though since it is partly in Spanish and subtitled. I have a professional interest in the cartels especially the Sinaloa Cartel. The bad guys I am most familiar with were just coming to power when Narcos Mexico ended. The torture and murder of DEA agent Kiki Camarena is so heartbreaking I can barely watch it.
Oddball pick:
Giri/Haji. Japanese detective goes to London to hunt a murderer.
