Estimating drop times for a different zone

I apologize if this has been asked before...Most likely it has. I am considering buying some pear trees from a northern nursery in Pennsylvania . I will be planting in the south , Virginia zone 7 . Their drop time chart shows a drop time starting in mid November. Since I am in a slightly warmer climate would that mean my drop times would be later than for Pennsylvania ?. We do get some cool nights in Oct-Nov with possible frost...however a few times during rifle season in NOV it's been WARM t shirt weather .

I would encourage you to give Ryan a call and talk directly to him. Hes a nice guy and can give you a better idea of what to expect for a drop time in your area. Just remember, there are no absolutes when it comes to drop times but more of an estimated time frame depending on variety and that particular growing seasons circumstances.
