Drilling into wheat

Howboutthemdawgs

I’m by no means an expert plotter so I turn to y’all! I wanted to leave some of my awnless wheat standing to head out and I was wondering if I could drill beans into the wheat without terminating it? I figure it will still provide some food and cover and then eventually die off as the beans come up. Am I wrong, will it choke out the beans? I don’t have a crimper like grant woods!

If you want pods i'd terminate it. If you are just planting the beans for forage I say drill away, you won't know until you try. Maybe terminate 3/4 of the plot and drill into the other 1/4 and see what happens.
