Drexel Mix

Does anyone use Drexel Mix? If so how do you use it?

I know some have no problem mixing 2,4-db and cleth while some, like me, would rather spray those two separately. Would Mix be good for that?

I emailed Drexel a few days ago but they never responded.

It seems I read a thread here or at a sister site that Drexel Mix was used for two or more incompatible herbicides. For the life of me I can't find it now.

I believe omicron has posted in the past about the use of compatibility agents to fight herbicide antagonism

I received a response from Keystone. They state that Mix is a compatibility agent for herbicides and fertilizer and doubt that it will help to "blend" cleth and 2,4-db.

They also stated that mixing cleth and 2,4-db increased ("hotter") the effectiveness of those two herbicides so to counter that potential issue simply mix both at their lowest recommended ratios. Mixing each at full strength may burn clover and alfalfa.

I believe Omicron and possibly others have suggested the reduced mix when spraying both cleth and 2,4-db together. I know most of you guys already knew all this but thought I would pass it along anyways.

which drexel product? AMS supreme? Atleast 2,4D and another herbicide is a pretty hot weed killer. NEver used 2,4db though.

I thought you had another thread about AMS and your water your using.

To keep it from getting too hot I would take pH test strips and see how much AMS you need to get the pH down to 7-6.5 ad stay there. USually you want it around 5-5.5 or so. However, the crop oil your adding to the cleth may add more leaf damage.

Are you using AMS supreme alone for surfacant / emulisifier for the cleth?

I forgot how much surfactant I used for cleth, its been a few years since I have used it. Spray some at home in a few days to prep a healthy dose of frost seeding this winter. This is my every couple of weeks mowed areas in my backyard outside the foodplot. Just pushing fallow weeds over the grasses, got alot of plantain already. Spreading some rye and oats in the grassier spots, light like 40-50lbs/acre broadcast and lawn roll.

The product is Drexel Mix. It is a compatibility agent. I have a link in my original post.

2,4-db is safe for clover, 2,4-d is not.

Link says it's for PESTicide and fertilizers. (Not herbicide)
