I know the snow doesn't have anything to do with the cold, but we have a potential doozy coming this weekend. Forecasted snow between 4" and 41" for southern MN and WI. A lot of moisture with this system. Currently predicting 16-20" at home and 12" at my WI property.
Heard further south there are some tornado warnings issued already. Stay safe everyone.

Friday could be 9-11 inches and wind gusts up to 40mph. Their saying this could be the worst storm of the year. And I was going to prune trees Saturday.

East coast. 2 weeks ago we had 16 inches of snow to clean off our cars. Yesterday it was 80 degrees and I was wishing I had shorts on.
Today I had an inch of snow on my truck when I headed home for dinner.
I’m actually glad the weather is acting like it did when I was a kid. I like a spring. This winter to summer we’ve had for years doesn’t suit me.

Same. Only issue I have with it is due to being in the RV business. Bout the time ppl want to get their units going and dewinterize, here comes the freezer again

Saw the first robin of the year two days ago. Got 6 inches of snow yesterday and the predicted 18 to 24 for tomorrow. Don't know what them birds were thinking coming back that early or what they're going to eat.

Blackbirds showed up in the yard yesterday. Today I got the pellet guns out of storage, and I will keep my whole area clear of Maggie's and blackbirds as best I can. I have spent a lot of time and effort on my fruit trees and berry bushes, and I'm determined to get a decent harvest this year. Between the deer, horses, and birds, I lost about 90% of my harvest last year.
On the plus side, I saw a pair of swans fly through the valley this week. That's always a welcome sight. The doves have been here a couple weeks, and the ducks should be here soon.
wNY has felt like winter since the start of November.....and most of October was chilly too. We have been pounded with (lake effect) snow, wicked winds and colder than average temps without the reprieves we used to get. The coyotes have hammered the game too- deep snow with a hearty ice crust is a bad combo. While snow is a given here.....the sub zero temps and relentless winds/gusts are not something we have had much in my ~50yrs.

I hate winter. Always have. Dark, cold, wet, miserable. I have tried to like skiing, but I still don't like it. My only winter hobby is free diving in the sea with a thick wetsuit, and that requires at least one other person. From now on I'm taking two weeks in Southeast Asia every February.
